Denying reports that she has decided to bid adieu to acting career, Jyothirmayi says she very much wants to be part of film industry and there is no questing of quitting movies.


"There is no truth in reports which claimed that I am planning to say good bye to acting. It is just a rumour. I love this profession and would like to make a mark before I quit," says the actress from Mollywood.

She adds: "It is true that I am not acting in any Tamil new film after 'Vedigundu Murugesan'. That is because I have not come across any interesting offer after that. Many offers are coming way. But I want to be part of an engrossing film which has enough importance to my character."

Saying that she is currently acting in two Malayalam movies besides a Kannada project, Jyothirmayi adds: "I am also getting ready for an abroad trip to take part in a couple of stage shows."

Madhavan was one of the volunteers at the 'Habitat For Humanity' event held in Bangkok recently. He joined John Abraham and Pooja Bedi from India, and Jet Li from China, who were among 3,000 Habitat for Humanity volunteers who dedicated 166 homes in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Laos and Cambodia.

The houses were built or repaired as part of Habitat's annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, where the former US president and first lady helped raise awareness about the need for affordable housing and built homes in partnership with low-income earners.

Multilingual actress Chaya Singh has denied rumours of her impending marriage with a Hyderabad-based businessman saying she is so busy with her film assignments and reality show that she can't think about settling down.

"I'm surprised how the media got to know about my marriage, when I'm not even thinking about it. I'm too busy to think about marriage. I have loads of work to do," Chaya, who is also judging a reality show on the Zee TV, told us.

The actress, who has worked in Tamil movies like 'Thiruda Thirudi' and 'Jaysurya', came to know about marriage rumours when her journalist friends started calling to congratulate her.

"Initially I did not know anything about my marriage rumours that appeared on some websites. But when some of my journalist friends from Bangalore and Chennai called up to congratulate me, I was in for a shock. I don't know who gave such news to websites, which published it without contacting me. For two to three days, I was flooded with calls and I kept denying it," she said.

"I'm not really thinking about marriage. I have to finish my Tamil film 'Anthapuraththu Veedu'. I have finished working in a Malayalam film. I have also signed a few Bengali films. I'm also talking to some Bengali producers for new offers. If I decide to get married, I will go with my parents' decision... they have supported me so much."

Chaya also wanted to direct a film called 'Gandhi Bazaar', but has now given up her plans as she can't find a producer.

The Vijayawada-born sizzler debuted in Tamil with K.S. Ravikumar's 'Saravana' and went on to act in films such as 'Vaitheeswaran', 'Pandhayam' and 'Jambhavan'. Currently, she is acting in 'Vaada' and 'Kutty'.

She rose to fame with the music video, "Kaliyon ke chaman..." and debuted in Bollywood with 'Hawas'. Her forthcoming Hindi films include 'Ishq Deewana' and 'Rivaaz'. In Telugu, she is mainly known for her item numbers.
